Pan Fried Crispy Skin Salmon Fillet with Sticky Glaze

  • 1 x 200g Sockeye salmon fillet, skin on

  • 1tbsp Rice bran oil

  • 10g Ginger, sliced

  • 1 bunch Spring onions, chopped

  • 1 1/2tbsp Light soy sauce

  • 2tbsp Dark soy sauce

  • 2tsp Sugar or honey

  • 6tbsp Water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Corn flour and water to thicken


  1. Season the fish with salt and pepper

  2. Heat oil in frying pan, fry the fish on the skin side until turns opaque half way then turn to finish, set aside

  3. Add some more oil to the pan and add the ginger and spring onion. Stir thoroughly for a minute and add your sauce . Let simmer for 1 minute and thicken with corn starch.

  4. Pour the sauce over the fish
